Heating oil/ Metal thefts |

Hampshire Constabulary are dealing with CONTINUING incidents of HEATING OIL and METAL thefts around the county and especially in rural areas.
Large amounts of oil have already been being stolen from homes and schools etc. Until the thieves are caught, then this is likely to continue, so please be vigilant and where possible make sure that storage tanks are secure. Please report any suspicious activity that you may see. There are also continuing incidents of metal theft around the Basingstoke Borough. This includes such items as cables, pipes, sheet metal from places like church roofs and similar premises etc. Please be vigilant and report such things as any unexpected vans driving slowly around your area and/or anything else of a similar suspicious nature. |
