  • Burgess Hill Jewellers Raid
    On 3/5 at 4.15pm man walked into Stoners Jewellers in Church Road and grabbed a tray of 13 rings valued at £4,600. He is a balding white male, about 6' tall, clean shaven and wearing a blue jacket with the hood having red inner lining, and blue trousers.   • Haywards Heath Burglary, Sentimental Item
    On 28/4 between 11.45am and 12.55pm a rural house near Borde Hill Gardens was burgled and a distinctive antique Hunter pocket watch stolen. The item, on a gold chain with a gold disc, is inscribed: 'Presented to Lieutenant A Collens 2nd Battalion Manchester Regiment'. Another gold fob is inset in the shape of a teardrop with a green stone. The owner is the grandson of the war veteran and the watch is of great sentimental value. Also taken was a set of gold cuff-links, both featuring two linked discs. If you have any info, or have been offered the watch for sale or saw suspicious activity between the entrance to Borde Hill Gardens and Balcombe Viaduct and Borde Hill Lane area, please call 101, serial 727 refers.   • Haywards Heath Forced Entry Attack
    On 29/4 at 12.45am two men forced their way into two flats overlooking South Road, threatened the occupants with knives, and stole two mobile phones. They ran from an alleyway connecting South Road and Church Road at the western end near the top of Perrymount Road and may have got into a vehicle. Both are white and wore black face stockings and hoods; one 5' 6", thin and wearing a navy coloured hooded jacket, black combat trousers and goggles. Man two is stockier, around 5' 2", wearing a black jacket, a white hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.   • Vulnerable Man Missing from Goddards Green
    A voluntary patient at a psychiatric unit in Goddards Green has failed to return from an unescorted trip he left for at 3.30pm on 23/4. Sacha Stewart (also known as Alex) is white, aged 30 and 6' tall, of slim build with black hair and brown eyes. He was dressed in a grey/black hooded leather jacket, green T-shirt, blue tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. If spotted call 101, serial 1476 refers. Click this item for his photo. [30-04-12]

  • Haywards Heath Burglaries
    Overnight 20-21/4 a laptop and unused safe were stolen from the United Reform Church in South Road, a break-in and untidy search occurred at the Action For Children Streetmate offices, and an attempted burglary was made to another shop in the town centre.
